Vanessa's Preschool Picture 2011
Oh how I just adore this little girl. She is just so much fun and has the sweetest personality. Everyday is a new adventure and we love watching her grow and learn new things.
Things about Vanessa:
- She is enjoying Preschool very much. She is learning lots of new things. She loves writing her first and last name and even knows how to spell Owen, Mom, and Dad. She knows what sounds all the letters make and how to write them. She still has a hard time saying the "K" sound. She does the "T" sound instead. I was working with her yesterday and she actually said it right once so we are making some progress there. The other day, Vanessa started to sing the ABC's backwards. I was very impressed with how she did and asked her if she learned that in school. She replied, "Yes Mom, I learn lots of things in school." She is such a smart little girl. We are very proud of the progress she has made just over the past few months.
- She loves to play with Owen. They are inseparable most of the time. They get along really well for the most part but have their sibling moments.
- She is not a morning person. It is quite hard to get her up and going in the morning for school. I don't blame her at all cause I like my sleep too!
- She is very opinionated when picking her clothes to wear. Needless to say, she has wore some pretty interesting outfits.
- She is getting very excited for her new baby sister to come. She asks me daily if the baby is ready to come out yet. She loves talking to my tummy and feeling the baby move. She told me the other day that she is going to be the best big sister ever. She went on to list ways she is going to help. She is going to hold the baby and make sure she is warm. She will also help Momma feed and change the baby diapers and give her lots of kisses. My heart melted while listening to her.
- She loves to color preferably with pens, colored pencils, and markers.
- Her favorite color is still pink.
- On cold days, she likes to request a cup of hot chocolate with baby marshmallows which she drinks by the fireplace.
We are so blessed to have her in our family. She makes life so much fun and we are so grateful that we get to be her parents.

It snowed here last week and Vanessa was so excited to finally get to play in it. She made lots of snow angels and a big snow ball that she tried to bring inside.

Eating out is always a blast with our little kids.

Vanessa made this Indian vest and feather headband in Preschool. She looked so darn cute in her little outfit!
