Heber Cabin-4th of July Celebration

We were able to take a break from all of the unpacking and to-do lists and enjoy a week up in the Heber mountains with the Carter Family. The cabin was HUGE and so much fun! It was so nice and relaxing to be able to stay up in the mountains. The weather was perfect offering some cool breezes to escape the summer heat. We had a lot of fun visiting with family, playing games, going on four-wheeler rides, hot tubing, exploring, and watching all of the animals that came to visit. We are so thankful to have such a wonderful family. We love being able to spend time with them all!

The kids had so much fun playing with each other. They loved going out on the big deck and running around. They also loved going exploring in the trees and jumping across and through the little stream.

Aliyah was so nice to share some lip gloss with Owen. He looked so kissable!Nice lips!

We had a lot of fun driving the four wheelers all over the mountain. We were able to see some deer and some amazing cabins. We couldn't believe how many cabins are packed in that mountain! The kids loved going for rides too!
Great Grandma Carter made the stay special for the kids. She planned a tea party for them. They had so much fun drinking their hot chocolate and eating their crackers. How fun!We were able to go for a ride on the Heber Valley Train. The kids loved seeing the trains and riding in it. They loved walking up and down the isles and looking out the windows. I was amazed with all of the beautiful scenery! At one point on the ride, the train stopped and a robber got on. He walked straigt up to Vanessa and asked her if she had his gold. The look on her face was priceless! She looked like she was about to burst into tears! He also went up to Mark's mom and asked if she worked in the Salon. It was pretty funny!

We were able to kiss quite a bit of wild life. We saw a moose, lots of deer and two fawns, and a bear. The deer liked to come right up to the cabin and drink from the stream and the bear actually tried getting into our garbage. I'm glad I was inside at the time!
We spent the 4th of July up at the cabin. The kids got to wear their shirt that I made them. They looked adorable in them. It was sure a lot of fun being able to spend the holiday with family and make lots of wonderful memories! This was a pretty neat picture I happen to take. Vanessa's face was covered by the bubble.
We want to say thank you to Grandpa and Grandma for the week stay at the cabin. We always love spending time with you and all of the family. Thank you for making it so special! We love you!!
